Given the very slow rate at which homes in the UK are replaced with new , potentially low-energy buildings, the retrofitting of existing homes with micro-renewable and energy efficiency technologies is essential if we are to meet carbon reduction targets. Here, James Hoare describes one such project - the addition of several renewables technologies to a house in Bedfordshire - from financing and installation, through early performance data to suggestions for further enhancements.
