The Energy Institute is a distinguished provider of high quality research and support to the oil and gas sector through its technical programme, founded in the 1920s. The technical programme provides the oil industry with access to technical development project reports, guidance documents, standard test methods to support industry oil standards, and best practice information sharing between members. In 2006, it will evolve to incorporate the needs of companies in the power generation, renewables and gas and electricity networks sectors.
