Power group to launch £24m wind farm trial. Daily Telegraph. 27/08/2004
Power group Scottish & Southern Energy has announced that it is launching a £24 million trial of a wind farm in the North Sea. SSE and oil and gas group Talisman Energy UK said the pilot project, 15 miles off the Scottish east coast, will test technology that allows offshore wind farms to operate in deep water with no visual impact. The two companies said the results will help determine whether large-scale versions of the development are practical.
