Canadian oil sands development scenarios. Petroleum Review, December 2009. p 6

Although Canada’s oil sands rush came to an abrupt end with the global recession and the collapse in crude oil prices in 2H2008, the development of the industry will continue in the future, states a new joint study from The Centre for Global Energy Studies (CGES) and Geopolitics Centre. Based on the two scenarios in the Canada’s oil sands report, oil sands production is forecast to increase between 1.19mn and 1.99mn b/d in the 2008 to 2020 period.
