Computers make our lives easier and more efficient. Yet the advent of mobile computing devices has added a new level of complexity for warehouse and logistics organisations who transport and store flammable or otherwise dangerous goods. In hazardous environments, the potential of computer devices to generate sparks means that extra precautions must be taken to ensure worker safety. Stuart Scott, Senior Director, International Marketing for Intermec Technologies, explains how sealed and safe computers are playing a more important role in the industrial workplace.
