Aquafuel is a venture-backed UK company with a set of patented technologies for renewable combined heat and power (CHP). It has a number of commercial CHP projects in development, the first of which started running in 2009. Aquafuel has also developed a method of changing a diesel engine's combustion cycle so that it can burn glycerine, a by-product of biodiesel, at a higher efficiency rate than standard diesel.
