PC program developed for estimating pipeline drying time. A.A. Al-Farayedhi. OGJ, 15 February 1999, 97(7), 52--55.

A computer program is described that enables process engineers and designers to estimate the total drying time required for removing water from pipelines. This program --- PIPE.DRY, determines the total amount of water to be removed and total drying time required. It also estimates the volume of the dessicant and size of the bed required for the operation. Low dew point air, absorption, adsorption, and solid systems are discussed and an example is presented. Equations for pipeline drying are included. 7 refs.
