Small independent producer's flue-gas-injection project. Anon. JPT, January 1999, 51(1), 42, 43. (Synopsis SPE paper 39637).

The project described consisted of three separate leases containing six producing oil and gas wells. Details being given of the original condition of same. The various options considered for secondary recovery are discussed --- the most economically viable being flue-gas injection, where treated exhaust gas from an i.c. engine is dehydrated, compressed, and injected into the producing formation. Design and construction are described and condideration is given to corrosion and injected gas. It is concluded that even small operators can implement gas repressurization successfully to increase oil production from a pressure-depleted reservoir.
