Independents lead resurgence of drilling in Alaska's Cook inlet. Anon. OGJ, 7 September 1998, 96(36), 27--29.

While most of Alaska's exploratory interest focusses on the North Slope, the state's original commercial production area Cook Inlet basin, still holds significant exploratory and development interest for oil and gas companies --- independents are leading a resurgence in drilling. Details are given of the Redoubt Shoal, the North Cook Inlet, Forcenergy projects, coalbed methane and its test programme.
