Oil and gas in Papua New Guinea. A.D. Owen and J.C. Lattimore. Energy Policy, August 1998, 26(9), 655--660.

Consideration is given to the current status of oil and gas reserves and production. An assessment is made of future prospects for the industry within the context of both the international market for oil and gas and local constraints on the industry's growth. The impact is estimated of the industry's development on the economy of Papua New Guinea. Tabulated data are presented and discussed and a map indicates mining and petroleum projects.
