Antibiofoulants---a practical methodology for control of corrosion caused by sulphate-reducing bacteria. J.A. Billman. Mater. Perform., November 1997, 36(11), 43--48.

A project is reported the thrust of which was to reproduce previously published findings. Consideration is given to the composition of anaerobic biofilms, mechanism of under-deposit corrosion, and antifoulant chemistry. The project to replicate the premise and findings is described, the waterflood chosen is examined and details are given of chemical selection, treating methodology, and system monitoring. The trials proved that an amine polycarboxilate exhibited the greatest effectiveness in respect to inhibiting precipitation of FeS and maintaining stable waters. 11 refs.
