Geochemical approaches to heavy-oil viscosity mapping. Anon. JPT, September 1998, 50(9), 86, 89, 90. (Synopsis SPE paper 46205).
Details are presented of geochemical properties of oils that may be used to estimate viscosities for heavy oils in the San Joaquin Valley. The experimental method applied on 21 samples from four heavy-oil fields in this valley are described. Graphical illustrations of the data are presented and discussed.
