Macro-assessment of technology options for CO2 mitigation in China's energy system. Z. Wu et al. Energy Policy, November 1994, 22 (11), 907--913.

The characteristics of China's CO2 emissions are analysed and several options are proposed for mitigating the CO2 emissions on a large scale. Consideration being given to strengthening energy conservation, introducing energy-efficient technologies into the energy system, speeding up non-fossil fuels development, and the importing of oil and natural gas to substitute for coal. The cost is evaluated of mitigating CO2 emissions and its effect on national economic development. 25 refs.
