Consideration is given to an assessment of these technologies in Siberia and the Russian Far East. Unmanned submersibles, control, navigation and sensors, aerodynamics and hydrodynamics are examined. Tabulated data are included providing details of underwater vehicles designed at the Far Eastern State Technical University (FESTU) and design office Dalne for 1976--1995.
