Cloud and pour point dependences of crude oils. (In German). I. Rahimian, H. Laux and H.-J. Oschmann. Erdol Erdgas Kohle, February 1997, 113(2), 80--83.

The results are evaluated of cloud and pour point measurements on model systems and crude oils. The cloud point dependences are evaluated using the theory of regular solutions, and the regularities of the disperse phase influence on the rheological properties of a colloid disperse system are used for interpretation of pour point results. Investigations are reported of the dependences on the contents, the carbon number and the carbon number distribution of n-alkanes. Details are also discussed of the influence of surfactants including asphaltenes on the paraffin crystal structure and its consequences for the adjustment of pour point. 13 refs.
