This key-note lecture outlines the future challenges and opportunities for pipeline industry professionals. A brief profile is given of an international pipeline engineering and construction company, and technological changes is discussed. Consideration is also given to environmental impacts and safety aspects and a pipeline construction forecast for 1995 and beyond is presented.
