In response to a need for a common portable log data management system across all Conoco sites, the digital-log management system (LMS) was developed. LMS uses existing data-storage standards and stable technology to implement a common digital-log management solution throughout the company. To achieve system portability, LMS is delivered with a stable well-data model and a comprehensive log catalogue maintained in a relational data base. 6 refs.
