Catalytic dehydrogenation---a review of current processes and innovations. M.P. Atkins and G.R. Evans. Erdol Erdgas Kohle, June 1995, 111(6), 271--274.

Current commercial dehydrogenation technologies and pilot plant development are reviewed in the light of the continuing interest in catalytic dehydrogenation of alkanes driven by the need for flexibility in refinery and petrochemical olefin supply/demand. Details are given of catalyst technologies for propane/isobutane and ethyl benzene dehydrogenation, and the limitations of current dehydrogenation technology are outlined. 12 refs.
