Shallow gas reserves in Alberta were developed successfully through pre-job planning and special drilling, cementing, and completion designs. The reservoir is described briefly and details are given of the directional drilling, bottomhole assembly, casing, drilling fluid, and cement. The completions involved four main areas---wellheads, perforating, fracturing, and cleanouts.
