Advanced control and information systems '95. Anon. Hydrocarbon Processing, September 1995, 74(9), 83--172.

Flow diagrams are used to describe and illustrate the production of a broad range of chemicals synthesized from oil, natural gas, and synfuels. Summarized data for application, strategy, economics, commercial installations and licensors are given for 150 petrochemical processes listed alphabetically from absorption to wastewater steam stripping. The processes described include alkylation, blending, catalytic reforming, FCCU fractionation, hydrotreating, MTBE, lube oils, olefins, sulphur units, visbreaking, and others. Data on pipeline management, plant scheduling, plant information systems, and quality control are also tabulated.
