Case history and appraisal of the Medicine Pole Hills Unit [MPHU] air-injection project. V.K. Kumar, M.R. Fassihi and D.V. Yannimaras. SPE Reservoir Engng., August 1995, 10(3), 198--202.

A concise description of a successful, unique in situ combustion project is described that recovers light oil from a deep, tight reservoir. Production performance to date of the MPHU is reviewed---a significant increase in oil production having been achieved over its historical decline, and a processing plant has been installed to recover the liquids stripped from the oil by the produced flue gas. 6 refs.
