Improved EOR by use of chemicals in combination. M. Baviere et al. SPE Reservoir Engng., August 1995, 10(3), 187--193.

The study reported shows that a combined alkali/surfactant/polymer process can be very effective even in chemically `hostile' reservoirs. Better performances being the result of low interfacial tensions, low sulphonate retention, and mobility control. It is concluded that due to its potential even in high clay content, low acid-number rocks, the alkali/surfactant/polymer process should be considered in any case where chemical processes are envisaged to improve oil recovery. 16 refs.
