Using interference tests during field startup to solve critical reservoir management issues at the Zafiro field, offshore Equatorial Guinea. N.V. Humphreys et al. SPE Production Facilities, November 1997, 12(4), 205--211.

The Zafiro field is being developed using subsea wells tied back to a floating production, storage, and offtake (FPSO) vessel. Details are given of the way in which preplanned interference tests assisted in defining reservoir continuity and provided confidence to subsequent field-development plans. Hardware selection, installation, operation, and data acquisition and processing are reported. 4 refs.
