Details are given of the installation of the first autonomous-control system on the Luna 27 well in 591-ft water in the Ionian Sea. The SWB is described and the subsea-wells autonomous-control system is presented, details being included of the power supply history, installation, installation monitoring, subsequent monitoring, applicability and technical advantages, and potential cost savings.
