Terms commonly used in the natural gas industry are defined and presented in alphabetical order. The glossary defines 64 different terms used in gas industry terminology. Some example definitions are given for calorific value, degree day, diversity factor, interruptible gas, liquified natural gas, liquified petroleum gas, and load curve. Mechanical devices for automatically measuring gas quantities are described. These include diaphragm, mass flow, orifice, rotary displacement, turbine, and venturi meters. The glossary also includes definitions of refinery gas,unaccounted-for-gas, and Wobbe index.
