Flow of shear thinning polymer solutions in heterogeneous porous media---tracer dispersion measurements. A. D'Onofrio et al. Rev. Inst. Francais Petrole, March-April 1997, 52(2), 219--221.

The investigation reported demonstrates that tracer dispersion measurement, in which the polymer content is kept constant, is a powerful method to investigate the structure flow in porous media. The large increase of the dispersivity observed as increases, shows the high sensitivity of the results to the degree of the shear viscosity nonlinearity which can be tuned simply by altering the polymer concentration. 5 refs.
