Details are given of how CT technology now allows an offshore operator to remove extensive cement residue effectively from the wellbore and place chemical sand-control (SC) treatments in a high-pressure-gas environment. Defining SC placement, preplanning processes, equipment/materials requirements, fluid circulation system, fluid selection, BOP stack and cross manifold, and implementation and results are presented and discussed.
