Petrochemical processes `97. Anon. Hydrocarbon Processing, March 1997, 76(3), 103--166 (41 pages).

Flow diagrams are used to describe and illustrate the production of a wide range of chemicals synthesized from oil, natural gas, and other feedstocks. Summarized data are given for 76 processes listed alphabetically from alkylbenzene to xylene isomers. Applications are reviewed for each production process and operational features are summarized. Each process is described with reference to numbered points on the illustrated flow diagram. In many cases data are given on yields, products produced, and economic aspects. Commercial plants are listed and the licensor is identified.
