A joint report from the Organisation for Economic Cooperation & Development (OECD) and the International Energy Agency (IEA) has said reforming the world’s energy sector so that growth does not seriously inflate carbon emissions will cost $46tn in investment before 2050, writes Keith Nuthall. This money would improve energy efficiency, increase carbon capture and storage, and deploy more renewable energy.
