Foster Wheeler has been awarded an engineering, procurement and construction management services contract by TUPRAS (Turkish Petroleum Refineries Corporation) for the gasoline specification improvement project (GSIP) at the Izmit refinery in north-west Turkey. The project includes a new fluidised catalytic cracker gasoline desulphurisation unit, a benzene reduction unit, offsites, utilities and interconnections, and oxygenates storage and handling systems. The project is planned to be commissioned in 4Q2008.
