The European Energy Exchange (EXX) is launching a simulation in preparation for the derivatives market, with 15 market participants. Trading in electricity futures products will be carried out on the system of the Eurex derivatives exchange. EEX will begin with two cash-settled futures contracts on baseload and peak-load blocks. The simulation will be split into two phases. In the first two days users will be guided and assisted in trading functions and in the second stage the users will simulate trading on the derivatives market.
