Areva plans new reactors that make nuclear waste disappear

The French nuclear energy company Areva is developing a new type of nuclear reactor that could permanently 'destroy' nuclear waste. The technology involved burn ups highly radioactive uranium isotopes named actinides that are the waste products of nuclear fission.
