Feed-in tariff 'killing off' burgeoning UK small turbine industry

UK small wind turbine manufacturers are concerned that they will lose out to solar panel manufacturers as a result of the new feed-in tariff scheme, because solar panel owners will receive a higher government electricity tariff than wind turbine buyers. Turbine manufacturers will also have to pay a fee of up to £100,000 to have their models certified for the scheme.
