Woodside recovers oil samples at Chinguetti
Woodside Petroleum has recovered oil and gas from wireline logging operations at its Chinguetti field off Mauritania. The Australian oil firm recovered three oil samples from the primary objective and a gas sample from a shallower zone from the Chinguetti 4-2 well this week. It is planning to perform a production test on the well after running and cementing the 9 5/8 inch casing prior. The well in PSC Area B is being drilled on the northern flank of the Chinguetti structure, just over 1 mile north of the Chinguetti-1 discovery well,drilled in 2001.
