Netherlands' Gasunie to split into three units

The Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs on Monday outlined plans to aid liberalisation of the gas sector by splitting Gasunie, the former monopoly gas group, into three units. Gasunie is currently 25 per cent owned by Royal Dutch/Shell, 25 per cent by Exxon Mobil with the remainder held by the Dutch government.
