We are seeking volunteers to join several committees of Council, including the Energy Advisory Panel, Professional Affairs Committee, HR Committee and Finance & Audit Committee. Reporting to Council, these committees provide critical expertise, guidance, and governance in supporting delivery of the EI’s purpose and strategy.

Volunteering can help you demonstrate personal commitment to your field of work, as well as further your professional development. We welcome interest from all members and are seeking stronger representation across gender, geography, and career stage (including Young Professionals).

Committees typically meet 4x per year, with a mixture of online and hybrid attendance. Committee members commit to an initial term of three years, with the option to extend for a further two terms (subject to re-election).

We are seeking members with the following areas of expertise:

Finance & Audit Committee: investment strategy, pensions and accounting
HR Committee: reward, performance management, learning and development
Professional Affairs Committee: professional development, accreditation and training (in particular seeking stronger representation from Africa, Middle East and Asia)
Energy Advisory Panel: energy sector knowledge in commercial, policy, demand side and systems (in particular seeking stronger representation from Africa, Middle East and Asia)

Please email your CV and a short covering letter, expressing your reasons for applying, to ceo@energyinst.org.
