WEST AFRICAN EXPANSION FOR DANA PETROLEUM
Dana Petroleum said it would explore for oil offshore the Ivory Coast with Petroci, the country's national oil company. The exploration site is west of the company's Tano block offshore Ghana, where it made a significant discovery last month, estimated at 30m barrels of oil. The award of the licence gives Dana another potential source of oil in the deep waters off West Africa in addition to its four existing production-sharing contracts in Ghana and Mauritania, Dana chief executive Tom Cross said in a statement.
