In France, the government plans for carbon neutral air travel by 2035 rather than 2050 with the help of funds of 1.5 billion euros. This is to be achieved jointly by electrification and carbon-neutral fuels, and lead to an environmentally-friendly successor to the A320. The targets involve either hydrogen or 100% biofuel..
