Projects to heat homes through disused mines and faster offshore wind farm construction win government backing: press release
17 research and innovation projects (including accelerating the building of offshore windfarms, and creating low carbon heat from disused coal mines) will receive up to £50,000 each. The projects located from Glasgow to Belfast, through Nottingham to Cornwall, will help the UK to respond to the world's challenges from climate change to the production of medicines - at the same time as creating high value jobs in the UK, and boosting economic growth.
