A bridge to where?

It used to be simple – gas-fired power generation has significantly lower carbon emissions than coal. But the fossil fuel may now be more a more expensive option than power from renewables. And new gas-fired power stations may become ‘stranded assets’. What will become of natural gas in the post-pandemic age? Jennifer Johnson takes a look.
