On-site CHP feeds steam to chemical process

One major industrial process in Cheshire is supplied with steam from an unusual, and high efficiency, combined heat and power plant. Here, Peter Houghton describes the plant, which helps to make soda ash and sodium bicarbonate with the lowest carbon footprint per tonne produced in the world.
