Swiss hybrid-electric Smartflyer aims for take-off, Aerospace, January 2020, p 31
In Switzerland, the four-seat Smartflyer hybrid aircraft incorporates a Rotax engine in the nose and a Rolls-Royce electric engine mounted high on the tail with clear airflow. First flight is due in 2021, and scaling up to a 19-seat commuter aircraft is envisaged.
