BP boss's Looney tune on climate strikes a bum note

BP,unlike any other oil and gas producer, has pledged to become carbon neutral by 2050. It has promised to cut BP's carbon footprint to net zero by 2050  and to cut the carbon intensity of the products it sells by 50pc over the same period, the equivalent of removing more than 400m tons of carbon emissions from the earth’s atmosphere every year. Greenpeace, as might be expected, failed to be impressed.
