IEA methane tracker
Carbon isn’t the only greenhouse gas (GHG). Methane is a potent GHG, with 1 tonne equivalent to 28–36 tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) if looked at over 100 years. The new methane tracker from the International Energy Agency (IEA) provides a rich source of data about harmful methane (CH4) emissions from oil and gas operations.
To find out more about the sources of CH4 emissions and the abatement potential, visit https://www.iea.org/weo/methane/database/
