The Hammerfest LNG plant on Melkøya, ‘the Snøhvit plant’, has shipped its 1,000th cargo – some 140 500 cm of LNG – via the Arctic Discoverer. The cargo is destined for Bilbao in Spain.

The total sales value of all the LNG cargos since the field came onstream in 2007 is in the range of NKr130–150bn ($14.04–16.2bn).
