Carbon capture made viable, Create. June 2019
In Australia, the team led by the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology and the University of New South Wales, has devised a method of converting CO2 back to the original carbon, by dissolving it in an electrolyte containing small amounts of a cerium liquid metal catalyst, and charging it with an electric current, all at room temperature. Byproducts include a synthetic fuel.
