In UK, the University of Brighton has devised the CryoPower Cool Combustion process in which a small amount of liquid nitrogen is injected into the exhaust gases which reduces the temperature and thus levels of NOx to the extent of near-zero emissions. The technology is said to be suited to heavy duty engines running on a range of liquid or gaseous fuels
