A Osborne, Loganair envisions electric island-hopping flight first, Aviation Week & Space Technology, 29 October-11 November 2018, p 34

In UK, Loganair is considering transferring its Orkney island-hopping Britten-Norman Islanders from piston to battery power, as proposed by Cranfield Aerospace Solutions. Current battery technologies would provide an endurance of about 30 minutes, and recharging could be effected by green fuel cells. More than 700 Islander aircraft operate worldwide.
