From the editor – Projections, targets and statistics
As always, the annual statistics from the government on the UK energy scene last year makesinteresting reading – see page 9. The headline news is of a steadily growing contribution from renewables in electricity generation and the squeezing out of coal as a power source – the two combined to deliver a small fall in carbon emissions.
