Oil prices hit highest level in over two years as Saudi Arabia steps up corruption purge; new car sales continue to sink

Oil prices have hit their highest level in over two years after an anti-corruption purge in Saudi Arabia  cemented the position of pro-OPEC cuts crown prince Mohammed bin Salman. Brent crude has risen to $62.50 per barrel, its highest price since August 2015, after eleven princes and several other high-profile names from Saudi Arabia's political elite and royalty were arrested as part of the anti-corruption drive.
